As a big fan of Strong Woman Do Bong-soon, I was really curious to see how Nam-soon would hold up - and it surprised me in a good way. The show blends over-the-top action,
Slope Game quirky humor, and a fresh spin on family dynamics. Lee Yoo-mi is fantastic in the lead role - tough, funny, and emotionally grounded. The mother-daughter-grandmother trio is honestly the heart of the series, and their chemistry makes even the weirder plot points feel warm and fun.
There’s a solid crime plot underneath all the comedy, with drug trafficking in Gangnam giving the story a bit more edge than I expected. Ong Seong-wu is charming as the earnest detective, and Byeon Woo-seok plays a strangely compelling villain.
Some of the pacing is uneven, especially in the middle, and not every joke lands. It leans heavier into the crime-fighting and family stuff than romance, which might disappoint fans hoping for a Do Bong-soon–style love story.
But overall, it’s a vibrant, empowering, and feel-good drama that delivers on heart and humor.
