KBS2 새 수목드라마 ‘징크스의 연인’(연출 윤상호, 극본 장윤미)이 15일 첫방송됐다. ‘징크스의 연인’은 불행한 자신의 삶을 숙명으로 여기고 순응하며 사는 한 인간 남자와 저주를 풀기 위해 미지의 세상 밖으로 뛰어든 여신이 잔혹한 운명을 뛰어넘으며 펼치는 판타지 로맨스 드라마다.
이슬비 엄마 미수(윤지혜 분)는 이슬비에게 손에 닿은 사람들의 가까운 미래를 보는 능력에 대해 알려줬다.금화그룹 회장 선삼중(전광렬 분)은 그동안 미수의 능력을 이용해 부와 권력을 쌓았고, 다른 사람들이 미수와 이슬비를 알지 못하게 비밀의 공간에 가뒀다.
공수광(나인우 분)은 친구들과 선민준(기도훈 분)의 집을 찾았다. 이슬비는 공수광의 의도치 않은 도움으로 비밀의 공간에서 나오게 됐고, 공수광을 몰래 따라 나가 바깥세상을 구경했다. 처음 버스를 타보고, 공수광의 엄마(윤유선 분)가 차려준 밥상도 먹고, 구두도 선물 받았다. 공수광과 이슬비는 함께 놀이공원에서 즐거운 시간을 보냈다.
공수광의 엄마는 이슬비의 목걸이를 보고 과거의 기억을 떠올렸다. 공수광 엄마가 미수의 사진을 찍어준 적이 있던 것.
이슬비의 부재를 알게 된 선삼중은 출장 중 부리나케 집으로 돌아왔다. 때마침 공수광이 이슬비와 함께 집으로 돌아왔다. 선삼중은 이슬비가 공수광의 손을 잡고 있는 모습을 보고 분노했고, 공수광의 취직을 취소하고 경찰서로 보냈다.
이슬비는 공수광의 미래를 보게 됐고 가슴 아파했다. 선삼중은 아들 선민준에게 예언의 무녀 미수와이 슬비의 존재에 대해 알렸다. 그는 “저 아이는 오직 너만을 위해 존재하는 부적이니 뺏겨서는 안 된다”고 말했다.
공수광은 교통사고로 어머니를 잃고, 바다에서 살해당할 뻔했다. 다행히 어부 고씨(유하복 분)의 도움으로 목숨을 건졌고, 고명성이란 이름으로 새로운 삶을 살게 됐다.
2년 후 고명성은 시장에서 생선 가게를 운영했고 재수 없는 남자로 살고 있었다. 이슬비는 선민준에게 부탁해 바깥으로 나왔다. 그곳에서 우연히 공수광의 모습을 봤다. 이슬비는 엄마 미수의 능력과 도움을 받아 비밀의 공간에서 탈출, 고명성으로 살고 있는 공수광을 찾아가 재회했다.
‘징크스의 연인’은 ‘달이 뜨는 강’, ‘바람과 구름과 비’, ‘사임당 빛의 일기’ 등을 연출한 윤상호 감독과 영화 ‘힘을 내요 미스터 리’, ‘럭키’, ‘마돈나’, ‘마담 뺑덕’ 등을 집필한 장윤미 작가가 의기투합한 작품이다.
첫 방송부터 미수와 이슬비의 능력, 공수광과 이슬비가 인연으로 엮이게 되는 과정을 빠른 호흡으로 흥미진진하게 펼쳐냈다. 또 공수광 엄마와 이슬비 엄마의 인연도 호기심을 자아내는 등 ‘시간 순삭’을 불러일으키며 앞으로를 기대하게 만들었다.
서현과 나인우의 착붙 싱크로율도 빼놓을 수 없다. 서현은 행운을 가져다주는 능력의 소유자 이슬비의 순수함, 사랑스러움을 찰떡같이 표현해냈다. 앞서 말한 대로 “한국판 라푼젤”의 느낌을 잘 살리며 몰입을 도왔다. 나인우는 엘리트에서 가는 곳마다 불운을 전파하는 불행의 아이콘이 되었지만, 이슬비에겐 “왕자님인” 공수광 캐릭터에 자연스럽게 녹아들었다.
